• Prints for wall papers, greeting cards or tiles

There is a growing emphasis on working in a range of materials and different crafts. Our design team may apply their skills to clothes or home fursnishing fabrics to create the best out of the most current fashion.

Our starting point is usually researching the market - development in technology, design trends and forecasts - to know what clients might want. We try to locate the gap in the market or chance to create a niche with a new technique or effect.

As our design team start to work on a new project, the first step is to consider how the disgn will be produced, how the finished a,rticle will be used, durability and care of the fabric and the budget. After all they think about the quality of the materiala, colours and techniques for patterns or special finishes. As further steps are taken on the process, each stage can involve liaising with clients, technical staff, marketing and buying staff and design colleagues.

Our design team may be commissioned to come up with new ideas or be given a brief by the client. after they take their initial sketches on a paper or on computer, and make up some samples to present to the client, or instruct technicians to produce the items.
